Does AI impair our ability to gain experience on the job? 🤔

In a time that AI assists a lot of the tasks we do, a lot of people are starting to feel insecure to complete previously common tasks completely on their own. Is AI taking away our ability to write professional documents or working code?

The short answer is yes, pretty much in the same way that Google Maps has reduced our ability to navigate without it. This is less problematic in scenarios where the tool comes with high reliability but AI tends to hallucinate which creates its own risks. Imagine if Google Maps was navigating you to a dead-end once every ten times 😕

Junior employees needs to be especially careful as the pressure to perform on the job market is high and relying on AI can make you appear more capable than you are. The solution for all of us really is simply to make sure we close the gaps that AI is helping us fill and AI can also play a role in that 🚀
